Something that Jon and I have more or less always agreed on is the baby names.
Quite early on we made two lists for boys and girls, and we found it relatively easy to agree on some names. Especially girls names… we have found so many girls names that we both like! Boys names are a bit more tricky, especially if we take into account the fact that I would like names that, if not entirely Spanish, at least can be easily pronounced in Spanish. I honestly don’t want my family laughing at an unusual Brit name or murdering my child’s name everytime they try to pronounce it because it’s got weird sounds (and then there’s the big no-nos like “Joshua” or “Kevin”… Any Spaniard could tell you why you shouldn’t give your baby those names)
However, the two names that we originally came up with, and we both were very happy about (one boy, one girl), both of them start with the same letter. We did not think much of it, until I started reading a book on twins that I was given for Christmas, in which they recommend that the twins’ names do NOT start with the same initial, as it can cause confusion. It’s funny, though, because lots of mum’s forums and other websites kind of agree with naming twins with names that start with the same letter, but in this book that I am reading it says that it is not such a good idea because of confusion that can be created when using the children initials.
So we have started questioning the boy’s name. Unfortunately, we don’t agree on a substitute. And if we tried to change the girl’s name, the problem is that all the other names that we like also start with the same initial! And we haven’t even started with middle names…! I’ve got a feeling that this is going to give us more than one headache..
So we are going to have to put a bit more thought on this subject that we both assumed to be covered!

In my opinion, it is not that important the initials issue, if you both like the name, just go for it!!
Good Luck with a name for a boy, we only sort of find it around 2 weeks ago, and I was approaching the due date. Still getting use to the name.
