So another week has passed and not much to report on the pregnancy front.
Still feeling pretty much symptom-less and noticing how my energy is slowly returning back to me.
We spent a few days in St Clears, in Wales, visiting some friends over a long weekend, and we went to bed so late every night! We were chatting and playing cards, and chatting some more, completely losing any sense of time. Which goes to show how much of a lightweight I am during the week, when by 9:30pm I must be getting ready for bed!
On the way back from Wales, we stopped at the Bridgend Designer Outlet shopping centre, with the idea in mind of grabbing a few items of maternity clothes on offer for me (I am very stingy with money and I hate buying clothes). However, to my surprise, there were no maternity sections in any of the shops! I wasn’t asking for much, just a pair of leggings and a couple of t-shirts/jumpers… But no, nothing for me there…
Once we got to Newbury, we stopped to get something for dinner, and as we went into the Retail Park I noticed a Mothercare just to the left. We decided to park there and have a look, but the maternity clothes in there weren’t that special either and the couple of bits that I did like were so overpriced! Our next stop was then Matalan, where we found a bit more variety and better prices. I got a pair of leggings and a long skirt. T-shirts/jumpers will have to wait.
There are lots of places online to buy these clothes, but I am a bit weary because different manufacturers use different sizing and the whole returns procedure is always a pain, and I can’t handle pain 🙂 But I’ve had a look at the websites for New Look, H&M, Next and Debenhams and I could find lots of cute, not too pricey, clothes that I would be happy with… Well, I’ll see if I can get any hand-me-downs from my sister-in-law when I go to Spain for Christmas…
I have, however, fallen into temptation and bought this dress online:
I will be picking it up from Next on Saturday and I am hoping to be able to wear it on Saturday night 🙂
And not much more to tell, really.
I have now received letters from the Hospital with all my pre-natal appointments for the rest of the term. The last one has been scheduled for May 21st, and I laughed as I was putting it in my calendar, as most probably than not I will have probably delivered by then! (Official due date at 40 weeks is 15 of June, so in May 21st I will be well into my 36th week…) Although, for the benefit of the babies, I am actually hoping to go as far as I can!
Next week, more!
(I had to photoshop my face on this photo because I was looking so tired! I think you can kind of tell that the picture has been processed.. but hey, I don’t care :D)
